How do I reset my password on Windows XP PRO?

I need a way to hack into my computer name, I disconnected my son yesterday for unknown reasons and I forgot to take the password off, I've tried F8 boot Safe Mode by admin to enter, but it has a password, and not what was not left blank. But I can still on a user account but it is limited. Anyone have any idea, Please no jokes, all my work is on this computer. Thank you in advance!

Hello, please, try this: - • 1. Place your Windows XP CD into your CD-ROM and boot your computer (it is assumed that your here XP CD is bootable - as it should - and you have your BIOS configured to boot from CD) 2. Keep an eye on the message screen for Start your CD Typically, it will be "Press any key to boot from CD" 3. Once you climb the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files. 4. When you arrive at the Welcome screen press ENTER, installation of Windows now 5. The license agreement comes after - Press F8 to accept. 6. The next screen is the Setup screen giving you the opportunity to repair. It should read something like "If one of Windows XP installations is damaged following the program Setup can try to repair it "Use the up and down arrows to select your Windows XP installation (if you have one alone, it should already be selected) and press R to start the repair process. 7. Let the repair. Setup now check your disks and then start copying files which may take several minutes. 8. Shortly after the step of copying files, you will be asked reboot.
