Cage Open

Is it possible that the lovebirds can open his cage by themselves?

Last month, I lost a lovebird. I thought that my younger brother accidentally sent free, while he was feeding them. The same thing happened again but this time all three birds have been out of there cages. Was it possible that they opened themselves? How can I avoid this?

It is possible, they much time to sit and take the latch, and they quickly put things right. My African Grey quickly learned how to open the door of his cage, I have to use a lock for stop out. something of use to lock the door, even if they did not themselves, it does not take them long to learn, better to be safe. Do not use anything they can chew, like a rubber band, they can chew it and choke. Better use a small chain through the bars and a small padlock, not even my Bob can open it.
