Iron Patch

how do you make a high quality iron on the patch?
What should I know about how to make a patch for a shirt iron on? -Quality
I saw the iron on transfer paper for your printer in the office supply stores. Never tried, so I 'm not sure if they are of high quality. If you use a piece of fabric, fusible interlining maye might work. I'm not too sure though.
